Week of February 9

In honor of ally/upstander week (and Valentine's Day), Mrs. Nelson shared this poster with us.

We also read this book on kind actions (and mean actions) having an impact on how we make others feel.

Children then were tasked to write about ways they can be kind in school, at home,  etc.

We have started to work on word families in literacy. Word families are chunks that help us read and write.

Keeping track of combinations of 10 as we count down to the 100th day of school. We noticed some really cool patterns...

The children made 100 day crowns.

I LOVED hearing how each child interpreted being 100 days smarter.
