Week of March 16

Reading to end racism. Mandy read the book Elmer.

Elmer wasn't elephant color, he was patchwork. Even though he made other elephants have fun and laughs Elmer wasn't happy. He tried to roll in berries to make himself elephant color. His friends didn't recognize him, and when he blended in with the rest,me elephants didn't have fun and were too serious. When it rained and Elmer's patchwork skin returned the others were so relieved and the celebrated by painting their skin colorfully.
